Internal Complaints Committee

As per the guidelines of UGC and in accordance with the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, our institution has constituted the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) to address issues related to sexual harassment. The committee ensures a safe and secure environment for all, especially for female staff and students.

The ICC organizes sensitization programs, gender awareness sessions, and provides support mechanisms to deal with grievances. All complaints are handled confidentially, fairly, and promptly in accordance with the applicable rules and laws.

Functions of the ICC:

Complaint Handling and Redressal: The ICC is responsible for receiving, investigating, and resolving complaints related to harassment. All complaints are dealt with confidentially and fairly.
Counseling and Support: The committee provides counseling and emotional support to victims of harassment, ensuring a respectful and dignified treatment of all involved parties.
Investigation and Action: The ICC conducts objective investigations into complaints and recommends appropriate disciplinary actions, if required.
Awareness Campaigns and Workshops: The committee organizes workshops, seminars, and awareness programs to educate staff and students about gender equality and harassment prevention.
Monitoring and Reporting: The ICC monitors the institution for any signs of harassment and prepares annual reports on its functioning, which are submitted to the relevant authorities.
Training Faculty and Staff: The committee trains faculty, staff, and students to recognize and respond to harassment in a timely and appropriate manner.
Prevention Mechanism: The ICC implements policies and initiatives aimed at preventing harassment and ensuring a respectful environment for all members of the institution.

Complaint and Reporting Mechanism

Any individual facing harassment can report the matter by following these steps:

Contact the ICC Chairperson or any committee member.
Collect and fill the complaint form from the office or download it from the website.
Submit the complaint with relevant evidence (if any) to the ICC office or email it to the provided ID.
The complaint will be handled with utmost confidentiality, and necessary action will be taken after thorough investigation.
